Is it possible to make  a comparative European and Chinese horoscope?

That is possible, but it doesn’t really make sense because these systems are different. However, at the studio Well-balanced we use the Chinese horoscope in addition to Feng shui.  Even though these systems are dissimilar, it often happens that a year of great importance or a crisis is noticeable in the European and Chinese horoscopes as well.
European astrology takes its origin in Greek mythology and other mythologies adopted by Ancient Greeks, which, primarily the cultural traditions of the Near East and Egypt, have been deeply embedded in the Greek and European cultural heritage. On the contrary, Chinese myths are often unfamiliar to us. It is also rather problematic to compare elements even if certain common aspects are evident. Chinese mythology, astrology and Feng shui work with five elements while European astrology relies on the theory of four elements (although we also have theory of five elements in Aristotle’s works, for example). In Chinese culture elements are more understood as the lively omnipresent energy (qi), while we in contemporary astro-psychology understand elements more as symbols of psychical functions – for example: the Air type cogitative, Fire is intuitive, Water is  emotional and the Earth type is sensual.
However, certain comparisons are possible, especially those concerning the general meaning of elements.  For example, both systems would describe a woman with the strong element of Water as: emotional, caring, home-oriented, compassionate etc, while a Fire woman would be in both systems: egocentric, without feelings for everyday life, non-practical, prone to mythologizing life and conflicts.
